Saint Bracelets
Saint Bracelets - Faith & Healing in vogue
by Michael Guadagno
Nowadays spiritual jewelry is worn for fashion and style as well as an expression of religious dedication. The fashion styles for jewelry this year continue to be bright flashy pieces and bold statements. An ornate Saint bracelet is the perfectly affordable way to spice up your wrist and create that bold statement at a time when recessionary overtones and social mood shifts are challenging our faith. Numerous Saint bracelets that are in vogue today are made of hematite and are magnetized as well. Hematite is a mineral comprised of iron oxide and when cut and refined, exhibits a metallic black shine. Hematite can be made into fine-looking bracelets and has also been acknowledged for centuries as a physiologic & cerebral healer and curative instrument attributable to it's magnetic properties. Hematite is also relatively inexpensive.
The magnetic properties of hematite have been used to encourage physiologic healing in the way of addressing the following: headaches, body cramps and pains, nervous disorders, anemia, insomnia, poor blood circulation, carpal tunnel syndrome, bone fractures and sports injuries to name a few. Golf players have popularized magnetic hematite bracelets since they are thought to prevent inflammation and provide pain relief as well as create an ionic equilibrium within the arm and wrist.
The cerebral healing applications of magnetic hematite are reported to be: relief of tension, improving overall mental function & focus, improving memory, aiding in meditation and effectuating a calm state of mind. It has also been said to help stimulate astral projection or out of body experiences.
People oftentimes wear and give spiritual jewelry as an expression of their faith. For Catholic adolescents, Confirmation is a time when a young adult makes a full fledged commitment to their faith and often chooses a Saint's name to take as part of their own. As such, religious jewelry bearing pictures of Jesus, the Blessed Virgin, Patron Saints and other Christian Icons is a suitable gift that recognizes spirituality. Adjustable Saint bracelets encompass all of these divine figures together and can remind one to have faith in God and to reflect and pray every day.
Sporting a cutting edge magnetic Saint bracelet may be a non-invasive way to encourage physiologic and psychological health while remaining focused on our faith and spirituality.

Magnetic Bracelet Therapy - Improve Health
Magnetic Bracelet Therapy and how it can help you improve your health
by Cyan
Magnetic Therapy works on the basis that our bodies respond to the curative power of magnets through its electromagnetic field.
To some, the concept that magnets could help relieve pain and discomfort may be a difficult idea to accept. Nevertheless, there are scientific studies to support the the fact that magnets are helpful in the treatment of some medical conditions.
There is some evidence that magnets improve blood flow which helps with the delivery of oxygen and essential nutrients to the body's tissues. People have reported that they have found magnetic therapy has relieved variety of conditions including headaches, arthritis and menstrual cramps. It is not exactly known for sure how magnets work in associating with these conditions, however, it is thought that magnets rebalance the body's energy and thus relieves pain.
Magnetic therapy products are often presented in forms such as magnetic bracelets and jewellery; magnetic straps for ankles, wrists and the back.
The common application of magnetic therapy come in the form of magnetic bracelets. Magnets placed in well designed bracelets provide this therapy while the bracelets itself are fashionable. Many designs are normally available to suit both sexes and are presented in various materials such as stainless steel and titanium, among others.
The history behind magnetic therapy For thousands of years, Egyptians, Arabs, Chinese, Romans, Indians and Greeks have used magnets to heal. Ancient Greece discovered the very first natural magnet in the form of the lodestone. Hippocrates, the father of medicine, noted the magnet's healing powers.
Chinese manuscripts dating back thousands of years have described the eastern belief that the life force termed Qi was generated by the earth's magnetic field. Egyptians, too, described the divine powers of the magnet in their writings and Cleopatra frequently adorned herself with magnetic jewellery to preserve her youth. Today, magnetic therapy is well established in many countries such as the US, Germany, Japan, China and India.
Are there any side effects? Magnetic therapy is very safe. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has confirmed that static magnetic fields pose no health risks at all. No complications have ever been reported with its proper use.
Who should not use magnetic bracelets? Magnetic bracelets should not be used if you are wearing a pacemaker, defibrillator, insulin pump or any other electro-medical device. Also please do not wear a magnetic bracelet during pregnancy.

Magnetic Therapy-Blood Pressure
Magnetic Therapy Can Effectively Reduce High Blood Pressure: Here Is How
by debbie shimadry
What is blood pressure?
The heart is a small but very powerful pump that beats steadily throughout your life, circulating five litres (more than 10 pints of blood) around the body every minute. The smaller blood vessels through which the blood passes produce a resistance to blood flow. The pumping of the heart against this resistance creates the blood pressure necessary for the circulation of the blood. This circulation is essential for nutrition of the major organs, such as the heart, kidneys, liver and brain, providing the vital oxygen and nutrients necessary for life. So, everyone needs to have a blood pressure to maintain their circulation!
When the heart contracts, the highest pressure it produces is called the systolic pressure; when it relaxes, the lowest pressure is called the diastolic pressure. Both of these pressures are important in determining the risk of heart attack and stroke, so both will be measured by your doctor. A normal blood pressure in a young person might be around 130/80 (often described as 130 over 80) - this is shorthand for a systolic pressure of 130 and a diastolic pressure of 80. We start thinking blood pressure is high when it is above 160/100.
Understanding high blood pressure
Blood pressure is vital to life whilst high blood pressure can be a threat to it. A permanently raised blood pressure leads to an increased tendency to blood vessel damage, and blood clot formation which may result in heart attack, stroke, or kidney failure. High blood pressure affects one in six of us. High blood pressure tends to run in families. Ironically, you may be totally unaware that your blood pressure is high. Apart from rare exceptions, there is no cure for high blood pressure. Taking anti hypertensive drugs lowers blood pressure, but when stopped, the blood pressure rises again.
Magnetic treatment for high blood pressure
Although there is no known cure for the majority of people suffering with high blood pressure, it is possible to treat it very successfully. Mainstream treatments include water tablets(diuretics) and high blood pressure tablets (anti hypertensives: beta blockers, ace inhibitors and calcium channel blockers).
Magnetic therapy can also be used to treat high blood pressure by eliminating excess fluid in the body. When a person is first diagnosed with high blood pressure the first course of treatment a doctor will try is diuretics, the aim of water tablets is to eliminate fluid from the body this is a side effect of high blood pressure ( particularly the extremities: hands, feet and ankles). The excess fluid puts pressure in the heart and this in turn increases blood pressure.
The primary aim of diuretics is to get rid of the extra fluid so that blood pressure is reduced, as the workload of the heart reduces. Magnetic water has a natural detoxification effect on the body, drinking at least 4 glasses a day will eliminate excess fluid (plus toxins stored in the fluid) from the body. This has the same effect a that of diuretics in that as the fluid is "off loaded" the workload of the heart is decreased and blood pressure is reduced.
In addition to drinking magnetised water, blood pressure can also be reduced by wearing a magnetic bracelet or magnetic strap around the wrist. The radial artery is situated in the wrist and is one of the bodies main arteries. When a magnetic field is applied over the radial artery, the magnetism is rapidly absorbed and distributed around the whole body. Blood flow is improved around the whole body and the heart ,the whole circulatory system receives increased oxygen which in turn increases oxygenation of the organs and tissues, as a result of the improved oxygenation the heart does not have to pump so many times a minute to ensure enough oxygen is supplied to the body and this reduces the workload which will automatically reduce blood pressure.
Although these 2 magnetic treatments for high blood pressure are extremely effective and will give results very quickly, it is important to remember that high blood pressure medication should not be stopped suddenly. If you use magnets to treat your high blood pressure ensure that your blood pressure is checked regularly by the GP or practice nurse. When your blood pressure has reduced your doctor will reduce your medication accordingly.
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATION MUST ALWAYS BE REDUCED BY A DOCTOR.

Magnetic Therapy Can Improve Poor Circulation to Your Hands and Feet, Here's How
by debbie shimadry
Poor circulation may be an indication of a heart disorder. High blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, varicose veins, Raynaud's Disease, and phlebitis are all connected with the circulatory system and having these conditions can lead to poor circulation within the body. So do not ignore the possible warnings and existence of these conditions specially if you have had them for a long period of time.
The symptoms of poor circulation are:
- Cold hands and feet.
- White fingers.
- Dizziness when standing quickly.
- Numbness
- Varicose veins.
- Migraine headaches.
- Tinnitus and hearing loss.
Causes of poor circulation
The main causes of having a poor circulation could be cholesterol, plaque on artery walls or lack of exercise. It may also be hereditary. Your susceptibility to these types of problems can be caused by an imbalance in your system.
Magnetic therapy can effectively and quickly help resolve the effects of poor circulation. I shall now introduce a few magnetic therapy devices that will help alleviate cold feet and hands.
Magnetic therapy treatment for poor circulation:
Poor circulation predominantly affects the extremities (peripheries) of the body such as the fingers, hands, feet and ankles. Poor circulation can manifest by having cold feet and hands or lack of sensation, plus swollen feet, ankles, hands and fingers. The body's circulation can be improved with therapeutic magnets. The application of magnets to the wrist, fingers and feet will improve the local circulation of these areas. Furthermore, to promote an increase in the body's whole circulatory system, magnetised water should be consumed.
Common magnetic therapy devices for alleviating poor circulation are:
1) Magnopain magnetic shoe insoles to increase the circulation to the feet and lower leg. These are very easy to use as you simply place them in your shoes and wear them all day long. The most beneficial way to use them is to take them from shoe to shoe so your feet have contact with them throughout the day. There should be no need to wear them during the night but some people with 'restless legs' find their symptoms much reduced by placing them in bed socks. Magnetic shoe insoles are extremely strong and can have as many as 50 magnets per insole. This magnetic strength allows the magnetic field to penetrate all the way up the leg and as far as the knee.
2) The use of a high strength (2,000-3,000 Gauss/200-300 milli Tesla) Magnopain magnetic bracelet to combat poor circulation in the hands. You would need to wear a magnetic bracelet on each wrist for maximum benefit. The magnetic field will increase circulation to the wrist, hand and fingers. It is advocated that the bracelet be worn at all times 24 hours a day 7 days a week to obtain the best results. You can also wear magnetic rings on your fingers if you suffer with cold fingers instead of cold hands.
3) If you drink at least 4 glasses of magnetised water a day you should notice an improvement to the circulation though out your whole body. If the magnetic shoe insoles, magnetic rings and/or magnetic bracelets are used in-conjunction with drinking magnetised water the effects will be increased by 10 times. You can magnetised water by placing a Magnopain magnetic water wand in a glass of water for 10 to 15 minutes.

Arthritis: Treatment and Pain Relief
Arthritis: Treatment and Pain Relief
by Patricia Noble
The two most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis, a degenerative joint disease, and rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disease.
Osteoarthritis is the most prevalent, caused by wear and tear on the joints and affecting mostly older people. Osteoarthritis affects the knees, hips, hands, and spine of sufferers, and results from the degeneration of joint cartilage. This form of arthritis can be the result of strains and injuries caused by repetitive movement, and can be suffered by sportsmen and women.
Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease that causes chronic inflammation of the joints. Sufferers can be any age. Rheumatoid arthritis can also cause inflammation of the tissue around the joints, and can affect other organs in the body. Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic disease but patients may have long periods of remission without symptoms.
So, how is arthritis diagnosed? Let us concentrate on osteoarthritis.
The diagnosis of arthritis is a complex matter, as so many factors have to be taken into account. The age and sex of the patient, the joints affected, the speed of onset, and whether there are any related symptoms.
X-rays of the affected joints, and blood tests will be necessary to correctly diagnose the type of arthritis, and to accurately determine the extent of any damage to the joints. As with all medical conditions, there are new methods of diagnosis and treatment being made available for arthritis all the time, so patients should be made aware of these by their medical practitioner.
Once a patient has been diagnosed, a treatment decision will be made depending on the precise type of arthritis, and there are many options. Most patients will be offered drug therapy to reduce inflammation and manage pain, and it may take a time to find the correct combination of medication for each individual. A number of patients suffering from arthritis will also benefit from physiotherapy and gentle physical exercise under medical supervision.
Alternative Remedies
Alternative treatment options and dietary supplements have become popular for arthritis and osteoarthritis in particular. The problem is, there are as many alternative treatments around as there are stars in the sky! What works for one person will not necessarily work for another.Do your research to make sure that any supplements or herbal remedies you try will not react with your prescription drugs.
One of the best documented natural remedies for osteoarthritis is a combination of glucosamine, or chondroitin. Glucosamine appears to be effective as pain relief, and also builds cartilage. Chondroitin increases fluid in the cartilage, improving shock-absorbing ability. Fish oils can also help reduce inflammation in the joints.
Extra supplements of the vitamins E and B are good antioxidants for arthritis patients, and both ginger, and cider vinegar have been found to have excellent anti-inflammatory properties.
And then we come to magnetic therapy, which has been around for many years. It is still considered quite controversial, but there are thousands of arthritis patients worldwide who are devoted converts to magnetic therapy. They will be happy to tell you that they are mobile again for the first time in years thanks to their magic bracelet! Magnets are commonly worn as bracelets, and these can be found in many attractive designs.
Unfortunately, nothing will cure arthritis, but with the proper medication and supplements, gentle regular exercise, and weight control, the flexibility of your joints can be improved, and it may be possible to slow down the progress of the disease.

Does a Magnet control pain in Arthritis?
Does a Magnet control pain in Arthritis?
by Dr Phil Hariram
Today an alloy containing iron, boron and neodymium is very light and practical to use on various parts of the body. This magnet is called the neodymium magnet. Although small, it is very powerful. A neodymium magnet of 8000 gauss weighs 20 gm while a comparable older alnico magnet weighs 90 Kg.
Is there evidence that magnetic bracelets or other magnetic devices reduce pain of arthritis? Unfortunately there are no large controlled trials and no conclusive evidence to suggest that magnets are beneficial. A trial was published in the British Medical Journal in 2004 to determine whether magnetic bracelets will control pain in osteoarthritis of the knee and hip. The conclusion was that pain decreased in the group wearing magnets but the investigators were uncertain if it was a placebo effect.
The reality is that more patients with arthritis are wearing magnetic bracelets and sales of magnetic products are increasing globally. It is uncertain whether this is due to aggressive marketing to a vulnerable group or that patients are actually gaining benefits. Either way using a magnet is safe and harmless. If it is ineffective you can always take the bracelet off. There are some arthritis sufferers who refuse to take their magnets off while there are others who have found no benefit.
According to proponents, magnets work by increasing the oxygen carrying capacity of blood and this produces faster healing of injuries and pain relief. This theory has been used regularly in horse racing where injured horses are fitted with magnets to get them back on the track in a short time.
Conventional medicine dispenses with the idea that magnets can be of any benefit in arthritis. There is, however, anecdotal evidence of amazing improvement from sufferers after wearing a magnet. Of significance, is the improvement in arthritic pets after wearing magnetic collars. Here we can safely rule out the placebo effect.
Dr. Lawson, a GP in UK found that there was improvement in the comfort and quality of his patients' lives after wearing magnetic bracelets but the placebo effect cannot be ruled out. In New York Medical College, Dr. Michael Weintraub tried magnetic insoles and found pain relief in feet of diabetics with peripheral neuropathy. Dr. Lloyd Siberski, a Yale University pain expert said, "Deep down inside I believe magnets work." Carole Barsky in the daily News, June 1999 reported improvement of her severe arthritis of the spine by using magnets.
So is there a role for magnets in the control of pain in arthritis? If conventional medicine was safe and very effective, then this question would be irrelevant. Drugs used to treat arthritis have problems and some have potentially serious side effects.
Magnets are safe. Apart from patients with pacemakers, anyone can use them. If you shop around you will find a manufacturer that gives you a 90 days money back guarantee. You can buy it, try it out and if it is ineffective send it back and recover your money. If it is effective, then you may be able to reduce your analgesics or even discontinue all together. The neodymium magnet retain its magnetic properties for 100 years. Who knows you could have a friend for life.

Magnetism - Healing and Pain Relief
Magnetism - For Quick Healing and Pain Relief
by sacha tarkovsky
Studies prove they can, and do. Read on, and you may find some answers that will help you manage a health problem, by healing and pain relieve with magnetism.
How Does Medical Magnetism Work?
Our body, made up of cells, and finally atoms, are all magnetically charged. Also, our bodies have a great deal of metallic minerals in its composition, especially blood (which contains iron) and are subject to magnetic fields.
Our brains emit a huge magnetic field of about 3million Kilogauss (a gauss is the measure of a magnet's power).
Each cell and particularly each organ has a magnetic value. When an organ is ill, the value is diminished (or increased in the example of cancer).
Magnets worn next to the skin, or on or near a pain or illness locus, have some striking effects on the cells, the organ itself, and the body itself.
These magnets must be of a certain power however. For example, a magnet of less than 800 gauss will not penetrate the skin.
The wearing of medical magnets are believed to have a calming effect on disturbed cells (especially nerve cells), and can less pain, soreness, stiffness and swelling.
Also, there is not a modern physio-therapy office that does not contain a special magnetic field to accelerate the healing of broken bones. No one is exactly sure how this phenomenon works, but it a standard piece of equipment today.
Can Wearing Magnets Prevent Illness?
Many people now believe that wearing a copper bracelet with magnets embedded in it, can relieve muscular pains, or eliminate them before they become noticeable.
Tests show that such bracelets can improve one's blood circulation, increase the temperature of strained muscles or ill areas (where a poor circulation has deprived it of proper temperature and oxygen), and also act as a muscle relaxant.
Many animal trainers and especially racehorse trainers are not using copper - magnetic bands to alleviate injury and promote healing of strains and pains.
They also believe it acts to prevent these very same strains and pains.
Is There Some Special Conditions the Magnets Can Alleviate?
It has been proved in a study at Tufts University Medical School (Boston) that magnet therapy greatly helped people suffering from Fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is a form of arthritis, but non-deforming or non-swelling.
It has pains that are sometimes severe and can last for years. The suffers have terrific sleeping problems. The study proved that suffers that slept on magnetic mattresses had a great deal of pain relief, while suffers who slept on normal beds had none.
In a similar study done at the New York Medical College of Valhalla, magnetic foot pads were placed in the shoes of people suffering from diabetic neuropathy.
The people who had footpads with magnets found a marked increase in the relief of numbness, tingling and pain.Furthemore, evidence suggests that roughly 80% of chronic pain sufferers could benefit form magnetic therapy, which is true for virtually any form of pain.
Magnets are especially good for those who suffer from rheumatic and environmentally induced painful symptoms, that include aching and swollen feet, simple arthritis, pains in the shoulder and back, tension headaches and even sports injuries.
Sometimes just the fixing of a medical magnet to the affected area can bring relief and this is a great alternative health treatment which more people should consider.

Arthritis Bracelets
Arthritis Bracelets - The Benefits
by Flor Serquina
What Are Arthritis Bracelets?
Arthritis bracelets contain permanent magnets inside them. These magnets produce static magnetic fields that can reportedly cure individuals from arthritis when placed in the right areas. The effectiveness of arthritis bracelets are based on founding principles of magnet or magnetic therapy, also known as magnotherapy.
Studies have been conducted to determine the effectiveness of arthritis bracelets. These studies will typically divide subjects into three groups: one would wear arthritis bracelets using standard magnet strengths, another would wear arthritis bracelets using weak magnet strengths, while the last group would use arthritis bracelets using no magnets at all. All users would have to wear their bracelets for twelve weeks or a span of three months.
The results favored the use of arthritis bracelets. Firstly, the study was able to rule out any lasting influence of factors like the use of painkillers and personal beliefs of users on the effects of the magnetic therapy products. Secondly, the study revealed that those who reported with the most favorable results came from the group wearing arthritis bracelets using standard magnet strengths.
Other Benefits of Magnetic Bracelets
Of course, magnetic bracelets are not only used for treating arthritis. Searching history vaults revealed that magnetic bracelets have already been utilized for thousands of years. Egyptians and Greeks were the first to report its therapeutic benefits. In 2000 BC, Chinese texts also revealed that magnets used in acupuncture had yielded positive results. Today, athletes of various sports have expressed their satisfaction after using magnetic bracelets.
Studies have shown that magnetic bracelets are also able to prevent the spread of cancer cells in animals. Lastly, magnetic bracelets have been claimed to successfully treat bacterial infections, stress, and chronic fatigue and magnetic field deficiency syndrome.
How Do Arthritis Bracelets Work
To understand the healing process used by arthritis bracelets, you first need to recall your old lessons about magnetic fields. These are produced by various factors like the weather and other natural forces and generated by items like computers, microwave ovens, television sets, and other electronic products. When exposed to magnetic fields, our bodies experience decreased pH levels and weakened immune systems.
Magnets have both north and south polarities. They come from the two magnetic poles in our world - the North and South Pole. These allow magnetic bracelets to penetrate our skins more easily and have stronger effects. An arthritis bracelet with the appropriate magnetic strength will create a magnetic field. This magnetic field will then penetrate your skin and reach your muscles and tissues. Any noted inflammation or swelling may be alleviated by the magnetic field.
Benefits of Arthritis Bracelets
Here are some of the things you could enjoy when trying arthritic bracelets:
Affordability. Compared to other alternative treatments and medications for arthritis, magnetic arthritis bracelets are more affordable. And since they have been acknowledged to be safe to use, there is relatively little harm from trying them out.
Ease of Use or Convenience. It can be tedious having to remember the right time of the day to take your medicine. Fortunately, there's no need for timetables when you're using arthritis bracelets. The healing process commences the moment you wear an arthritis bracelet, and after that, you need not do anything else.
Improved Circulation. Exposure to magnetic fields allow air and blood to circulate more freely and deliver the necessary nutrients to your organs, blood vessels, muscles, and joints. Better circulation means lesser pain.
Pain. The greatest benefit arthritis bracelets can provide you with is pain relief. This has been supported by data from various studies. There is no need to take a lot or even any painkillers. Pain is eased bit by bit the longer you have your arthritis bracelet on. And with the pain lessened significantly, you'll experience greater freedom of movement.
Lastly, arthritis bracelets also claimed to contain anti-inflammatory properties, potentially making it an aid in solving the root problem of arthritis instead of being simply effective against arthritis symptoms.

Bracelet For Men
Bracelet For Men Display Power & Presence
by Bernard Steimann
Everywhere you go, there are lots of men who wear jewelries from all walks of life from executives to businessmen, from the men in uniform to the men on the streets. You can see professionals wearing jewelries as a sign of stature. In the streets, lots of homies out there have their own collection of 15-pound worth of bling-blings and it signifies power and energy.
Now, what about those heroes in the movies that everybody looks up to? Do you remember the time when there is a TV series and one character of has a Bad Attitude is wearing necklaces and earrings and bracelets and can't seem to walk straight?
Jewelries have been so much a part in the lives of men today. But aside from these flamboyant, elegant and status-symbol items, there are jewelries that talk much about an individual. There are bracelets for men that show power and pride.
If you take a careful look when you go shopping offline and online for jewelries for the wild and the free, you will find some artistic designs, say, for bracelets from battle wrist cuff to double griffin heraldy link bracelet and for more power play, a man can fancy himself with cross-engraved filigree bracelet. Magnetic Therapy And Fibromyalgia
Magnetic Therapy Can Treat Many of the Symptoms Associated With Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia is a chronic disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, and multiple tender points. “Tender points” refers to tenderness that occurs in precise, localized areas, particularly in the neck, spine, shoulders, and hips. People with this syndrome may also experience sleep disturbances, morning stiffness, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety, and other symptoms.
Although the cause of fibromyalgia is unknown, researchers have several theories about causes or triggers of the disorder. Some scientists believe that the syndrome may be caused by an injury or trauma. This injury may affect the central nervous system. Fibromyalgia may be associated with changes in muscle metabolism, such as decreased blood flow, causing fatigue and decreased strength. Others believe the syndrome may be triggered by an infectious agent such as a virus in susceptible people, but no such agent has been identified.
Signs and symptoms of fibromyalgia can vary, depending on weather, stress, physical activity or even just the time of day. Different people experience different signs and symptoms, but common signs and symptoms include:
• Widespread pain. Fibromyalgia is characterized by pain in specific areas of your body when pressure is applied. These areas include the back of your head, upper back and neck, upper chest, elbows, hips and knees. The pain generally persists for months at a time and is often accompanied by stiffness.
• Fatigue and sleep disturbances. People with fibromyalgia often wake up tired and un-refreshed even though they seem to get plenty of sleep. Some studies suggest that this problem is the result of a sleep disorder called alpha wave interrupted sleep pattern, a condition in which deep sleep is frequently interrupted by bursts of brain activity similar to wakefulness. So people with fibromyalgia miss the deep restorative stage of sleep (stage 4). Night time muscle spasms in your legs and restless legs syndrome also may be associated with fibromyalgia.
• Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The constipation, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and bloating associated with IBS are common in people with fibromyalgia.
• Chronic headaches and facial pain. Many people who have fibromyalgia also have recurrent tension-type headaches that may be related to tenderness in the neck and shoulders. Facial pain is common, and as many as one-third experience jaw pain — temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction.
• Heightened sensitivity. It’s common for people with fibromyalgia to report being sensitive to odours, noises, bright lights, touch and changes in weather.
• Depression. As many as one-third of people with fibromyalgia also experience depression.
• Numbness or tingling sensations in the hands and feet.
• Difficulty concentrating and mood changes.
• Chest pain or pelvic pain.
• Irritable bladder.
• Dry eyes, skin and mouth.
• Painful menstrual periods.
• Dizziness.
• Sensation of swollen hands and feet.
Magnetic therapy treatments for fibromyalgia:
Fibromyalgia sufferers can experience any number of the symptoms listed above, although it is not common to experience all of them at once, it is common to suffer from several at one time, as well as frequent flare ups of the remaining symptoms. This makes fibromyalgia very difficult to treat. The majority of people with fibromyalgia are prescribed medications to deal with all of their different symptoms, this can lead a person taking a very large amount of tablets each day. Many of the tablets will have unwanted, or unhealthy side effects which have to be counteracted with even more medication.
It’s no wonder that hundreds of fibromyalgia sufferers are turning to magnetic therapy. Without using any drugs or any side effects healing magnets are proving to be a very efficient way of managing the multiple symptoms of the disease.
The most effective treatment for fibromyalgia would be a combination of magnetic therapy products for natural pain relief:
1. Drinking magnetic water. By using a water wand or magnetic coaster to magnetise drinking water, the symptoms of IBS, depression, mood swings and chronic fatigue can be greatly reduced.
2. Wearing a super high strength magnetic bracelet (3,000 gauss/300 m tesla). The magnetic bracelet will also help to reduce depression, mood swings and chronic fatigue as well as improving the circulation and relieving hand pain. When used in-conjunction with drinking magnetic water the results will be much quicker.
3. Sleeping on a magnetic mattress pad. This is probably the single most beneficial treatment for fibromyalgia. The sheer strength of the magnetic field will relieve the painful symptoms from all around the body. Multiple pain points can all be eased with one device, plus the magnetic mattress when used in-conjunction with a magnetic pillow pad will also improve sleep, reduce migraine and tension headaches, reduce nerve pain and tingling and stabilise hormone levels.
Exposure to magnetic therapy products must be an ongoing treatment for those with fibromyalgia. The severity of the disease process does not allow for many periods of remission, as a result when the magnets are discontinued symptoms quickly return. It is for this reason that it is advocated that fibromyalgia sufferers sleep on a magnetic mattress pad on a permanent basis.

The Arthritis Bracelet
Arthritis bracelets are among the alternative treatments popularly accepted by consumers as an alternative to help the pain of arthritis. The most widely accepted in the market are made of copper or magnets. Although not yet definitively proven to be effective as you claim, widely accepted and have been reported in some studies, in fact, have beneficial effects.
Magnets for pain
Magnets are objects that produce a type of energy called magnetic fields. Magnets oriented to consumers for health purposes are mostly static or permanent magnets. Magnetic Bracelets are also popularly used to relieve pain from arthritis and can also come in the form of mattresses and pillows. Several manufacturers of magnetic bracelets claim that the magnets can affect the pain relief from any of the following principles:
1. Magnets may change as the function of cells.
2nd That can potentially affect growth and living cells.
3rd It is thought to improve blood flow, increasing the supply of oxygen and nutrients to different organs of the body. This is believed to occur due to the presence of metal iron in the blood that may be affected by magnets.
4th Response to nerve cells in the pain is believed to be affected by weak pulse magnets.
5th That may affect how the brain perceives and reacts to pain.
6. Finally, the magnets can affect the production of white blood cells, which participates in the defense of the body against infection and inflammation.
Whatever the mechanism, the benefit of magnetic bracelets seems clinically useful on the basis of tests conducted by different researchers.
The case of copper
The use of copper bracelets were distributed in 1970 as a way to stop the pain of arthritis. The bracelet of copper is believed to be absorbed through the skin and circulation. One study found that 13 mg of copper is absorbed in a month, on average, from people wearing the bracelets. This is an additional source of copper is estimated to have a positive effect of copper in the diet.
Copper in the body is known to be necessary for the transport of calcium in the body and the construction of the bone matrix. E 'were found to have analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Studies on subjects wore bracelets copper bracelets control compared to placebo were similar to those of copper have been performed and indicates possible benefits.
But the results were not conclusive enough to ensure their effectiveness. Another reason for concern regarding its use of copper is that if it is effectively absorbed through the skin, is absorbed in quantities that are not regulated could lead to toxicity. Consideration should be given to patients with zinc deficiency and copper excess in the blood can lead to further depletion.
These are for you?
Living with the pain of arthritis can be very debilitating, and patients seeking alternative or supplement to pain relief should be careful in choosing the forms of treatment. The beneficial effects of these bracelets have not yet been tested in several clinical studies have given conflicting results.
In addition, arthritis bracelets are not yet approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and some companies benefiting from the loans have been challenged by the FDA and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Nevertheless, there was a large number of patients that testify to its effectiveness in reducing pain and toxic effects were not reported by consumers since.
If a patient decides to use arthritis bracelets, it is noted that consultation with the doctor and the proper prescription of medicines is important and integral in the treatment of arthritis or control to reduce the pain.
As the arthritis bracelets are not yet regulated and standardized, it would be convenient for consumers to always check the reputation of the company, which is planning to buy a consumer protection with the agencies. We also need to be aware of potential contraindications to magnets or copper, under certain conditions, to avoid any adverse reactions.

Magnetic Jewellery
A Few Facts About Magnetic Jewellery
Whether you believe in the healing powers of magnetic jewellery or not, the fact of the matter is that magnetic bracelets and necklaces have become quite fashionable. Alternating black hematite beads and silver look simple, while 18-karat Gold trimmed Titanium steel bracelets boast elegance. Soho Five Magnetic Jewelry, at www.sohofive.com, offers some of the more high-end magnetic fashions in the $100-$200 range, while other manufacturers like Ace Magnetics (once worn by Arnold Palmer) offer $50-$100 magnetic therapy products. Some magnetic bracelets can even be purchased for as low as $7 online.
Magnetic jewellery works on the premise that magnetic fields work locally to relieve injured tissue, muscles, joints or cells. If you suffer from something like arthritis in the hands, tennis elbow or carpal tunnel syndrome, then you should purchase the electromagnetic bracelets. If you have TMJ, chronic headaches or shoulder pain, try the magnetic necklaces and earrings instead.
Patients with foot, ankle, or lower back pain will benefit from using magnetic ankle bracelets. For chronic back pain, a magnetic back brace would be a more sensible solution. For knee stiffness, sleeping with a magnetic pillow between the knees might do the trick. It’s important that the jewelry be worn for 24-hours per day for maximum efficiency.
Please note that magnetic jewellery is not all the same. Makers of magnetic therapy bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings often say “You get what you pay for.” Much of the advertised cheap jewelry includes the athlete “cuff,” which is the c-shaped bracelet with two balls on each end. Magnet therapists say that each magnet only has 1,500 gauss each for a total of 3,000 gauss, which is nowhere near enough to provide relief. The average person needs about 7,500 gauss or higher to work, experts say. The high-quality, more expensive magnetic jewelry pieces usually come with magnets studded throughout. It may take several weeks or months for you to begin to feel the effects, although some people report overnight improvement.
Magnetic jewellery is considered completely safe, except for those who have pacemakers or are pregnant. Obviously, electronic devices like pacemakers can conflict with a magnetic force and the effects of magnets on unborn fetuses are still yet to be examined. Wearers of magnetic necklaces are advised to never substitute these products for a physician’s advice. Magnets may disturb digestion processes if they’re strapped onto the abdomen right after eating and they may increase the potency of some medications.
